Taipan Trader

Imagine yourself in the 1800´s as the owner of a merchant shipping company. You travel with your comprador or captain all over the western pacific ocean, as the wind takes you. In every port, you search for great deals. Sometimes you find them. Often times you purchase goods for your ship which you know will turn a profit in another port.

However, danger lurks in those same seas. Pirates have been spotted recently, and your crew dreads an encounter with them. They may just board your ship and inspect the hold. Or they may demand a share of your cargo to let you pass safely through these waters. Sometimes you will fight them off. Other times they will conquer you. On every trip you have to watch out for rough seas. Cyclones have been known to blow a ship off course. If this sounds like fun, then give this game a try. Have fun, captain! And watch out for those pirates.
